What Fifth Wheel Hitch and Sidewinder do I Need for my 2014 Ram 1500 Eco Diesel 5.5 bed.

Question:

I have a 2014 dodge ram ecodiesel with a 5 1/2 ft bed. I need a sidewinding king pin but cant find the number that i was told to look for on the king pin. I see the only sidewinding king pins on here are reese, so i cant use the curt hitch and rails i assume?? Can you help me figure out which set up i need please. Thanks

I've got great news! You have options to use a different manufacturer's fifth wheel hitches for the Reese Sidewinder, but there are limitations on specific hitches, like not being able to use Curt's Q or A series.

The Reese M5 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # RP30928 and the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit part # RP50142-58 is a great choice, and what I recommend. Please keep in mind these Fifth Wheel Hitches should only be used for your short bed truck with the sidewinder in place. Do not attempt to use this without the sidewinder in place or you're likely to damage the truck and camper.

If you have tried unsuccessfully to identify the pin box through numbers you can just get the measurements in the attached help article. If you will provide me those I can identify your pin box and make a recommendation on the sidewinder and wedge you will need for your setup. For example the # RP61412 will fit a Lippert 1116 or 1716 bolt pattern.
