Comparing BWGNRK1012 and BWGNRK1012-5W Gooseneck Hitches for a 2013 GMC Sierra 2500HD
Question:
I have a 2013 gmc 2500hd and wanting to transition from rails to a gooseneck. I recently picked up a BandW Companion slider with model# RVB3405. I figured the BWGNRK1012 was what i needed and then i saw the BWGNRK1012-5W and worndering what the difference between the two was and which one i need.

The B&W Gooseneck Hitch # BWGNRK1012 and # BWGNRK1012-5W are the exact same kit and will work with both your 2013 GMC Sierra 2500HD and the B&W Companion Slider # BWRVK3400 that you referenced.
Basically the -5W at the end of the one part number was needed so that it can be put in our fitguide under the 5th wheel towing category, otherwise it messed up the system which is why the -5W isn't on the part under the gooseneck towing category.
Attached is an installation video of the gooseneck hitch on a 2013 GMC Sierra for you to reference. If you don't already gave a 7-Way installed in the bed of your pickup then I also recommend installing the Bargman # 50-97-410 to help make connecting/disconnecting your trailer wiring much easier.
