my Thule bars on a Porsche Cayman have a channel/gap measuring 12mm in width ~1/2 for the strips T base to fit into. Which is the correct strip to order?

The type of strip you need depends on the type of Thule bars you have. For Aero (rapid Aero or AeroBlade) load bars, use # TH853354407. One of these is probably the type of bars you have.
