Testing Brake Controller Wiring of Vehicle to Install Brake Controller
Question:
I have a Agility brake assist with four wires on it: red , white, black , and blue. I was provided a wiring break assist cable that hooks directly into my 2019 Nissan, by Nissan. The Nissan plug has five wires How can I hard wire the Nissan plug into the four wires on the Agility assist. The colors on the second plug are B, R/G, R/L, B/W, and W. Would like to hardwire instead of purchasing an additional adapter. Thanks

You'd have to use a circuit tester to test the pins of the wiring of your Nissan to determine how to wire them to your Agility brake controller's wiring. Use a tester like part # PTW2993 to probe the wiring. The pin that has voltage all the time gets ran to the black wire of the controller, the pin that has voltage only when you press the brakes gets ran to the red wire.
Ground the tester to the constant 12-volt power wire, then probe the remaining two wires. The wire that lights the tester will be the ground and is ran to white wire, the other will be the brake output circuit and gets ran to blue wire.
