Replacement Hardware for Grille Guard for 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500

Hello i got a good deal on this grill gaurd and i wanted to put in on my 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500 is 40-117PK the right bracket to install?

The hardware kit you mentioned, # 40-117PK is a fit for the # 40-1175 Westin Sportsmen Grille Guard. That particular grille guard is a fit for the 2003 - 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LD, the 2007 - 2007 Chevrolet Silverado Classic 1500 LD and the 2003 - 2006 Chevrolet Avalanche 1500 without Clad Molding. The kit you mention is only a fit for that guard within those model years.

The problem with the Westin Grille Guards is that not only are the mounting kits vehicle generation specific, but the grille guards are as well. Unless the grille guard you have pictured is a part # 40-2275 came off of a 2008 - 2013 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 or a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado New Body 1500, it won't be a fit for your truck.

If the guard DID come off a truck in that model year range, you'd need the # 40-227PK bracket kit.
