Can Rear View Safety Wireless Backup Camera System # RVS-091406 be Wired to Reverse Light Circuit

Question:

If the camera is wired to the reverse lights how quickly does the image appear on the screen? If I buy this product and test this time delay and am not happy with it can I return it for a full refund?

Yes you can wire the trigger wire of the Rear View Safety Wireless Backup Camera System # RVS-091406 to the reverse light which will activate it any time the vehicle is put in reverse just like a standard back up camera.

I have a 4 second delay when putting the truck in reverse to the time an image appears on the screen. I feel that is far from instant.

A 4 second delay isn't normal - the monitor should be showing the view pretty much as soon as power is sent along that reverse light circuit. I might just check to make sure the camera itself has a clean and secure connection to the reverse wire on the vehicle. I would also unplug the monitor just to reset it as well.

There is hardly a delay when putting the vehicle in reverse till you see the display show the camera. There would virtually be no delay at all.

The response should be pretty immediate. Since it's hooked up to the reverse light circuit, the camera and monitor should really have the same reaction time as the reverse lights themselves.
