Is There a Way to Add Additional Clearance Between Trailer and Tow Vehicle with WD
Question:
I pull at 2020 puma with a dodge ram 1500 ext cab. Recently we noticed that when making a sharp turn the bed of the truck comes within millimeters of hitting the actual trailer. Is there an extension I can put on my truck that will give us more room for turns without compromising the distribution kit?

Best option would be a longer weight distribution shank as that will give you the extra clearance needed without affecting the capacity of the hitch like an extender does. The Curt shank part # C17122 is 14 inches long and works with standard weight distribution system heads like Reese, Equal-i-zer, Fastway, Husky etc.
