Will etrailer Off Road Carrier with Threaded Hitch Pin Work On Trailer Hitch With Smooth Hole

I have a casita travel trailer with a 2 inch receiver on the back and the pin hole is not threaded. Your 20x48 etrailer Off Road Cargo Carrier for 2inch Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs Item # e98875 has a threaded pin. Is this compatible with the non threaded receiver on my casita? Regards

The hitch pin hole on a trailer hitch is not threaded, they are all smooth. The hitch pin holes on hitch mounted accessories such as the etrailer Off Road Cargo Carrier part # e98875 for example are often threaded for anti-rattle purposes. The threaded hitch pin is small enough to pass through the smooth hitch pin hole on the trailer and then gets threaded into the weld nut on the shank of the hitch mounted accessory. Therefore, you won't have any issues using the above cargo carrier on your trailer hitch.
