Installing Vent in 6x12 Enclosed Cargo Trailer To Keep Interior Cool When in Storage
Question:
I have a 6x12 enclosed cargo trailer with the typical manual roof vent. My trailer sits more than it is used and I need to keep the hot air out as much as possible while it is sitting not connected to power.

The # UF53-945001 solar-powered plumbing vent probably won't do what you're looking to achieve. The vent is very low powered, and is designed to provide a small amount of ventilation to draw odors from the stack on a black water tank on an RV. It wouldn't have enough draw to do much to lower the temperature in your trailer.
I'd recommend installing a vent cover like # MA00-933066 which is compatible with standard 14 x 14 roof vents. With this in place, you could leave existing roof vent open while preventing rain from getting in. To go a little further, installing a vent like # WHMAV2-WAVT2 fairly low on the trailer will help promote a cross current of air and will help moderate the temperature inside the trailer.
