Can a 2015 Kia Rio Be Flat-Towed
Question:
Can a Kia Rio 2015 EX sedan be flat towed?
asked by: Ronald M
Helpful Expert Reply:
In order to flat-tow a 2015 Kia Rio you'll need to do so on a tow dolly with the front two wheels in the air, the Roadmaster Tow Dolly with Electric Brakes part # RM-2050-1 is a great cost effective option for this. The reason a tow dolly must be used has to do with the vehicle's inability to lube the transmission properly while towed with all four wheels down.
Please note, using a tow dolly actually causes less wear and tear on the vehicle so it's still a great option and you don't have to make any permanent modifications to the vehicle.
