Troubleshooting the Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector AT36681

Question:

My dual LP/CO alarm has gone off the past three mornings. When the alarm sounds, the power visual indicator is ON, and the propane visual indicator is FLASHING red. The audible indicator does 6 beeps in a second continuously. From the products manual, the troubleshooting guide says that this could be Alarm Reset/Stabilization, or Fault. Under Alarm Reset/Stabilization in the manual, this says that the audible alarm should be off but it is not. The power supply to the rv and the alarm has not been cut off, and I do not currently have propane hooked up to the rv. I would like to know if there is a problem with my alarm, or any other problems that I need to deal with.

It sounds like your Atwood RV Carbon Monoxide and Propane Gas Detector part # AT36681 is hooked up properly and is getting power. The code you hear is like you said a fault code in this case because of the audible tone. I recommend replacing it. The likely issue is corrosion or a short in the detector itself.
