Couldn’t I weld a 2” receiver under my factory receiver instead of having to buy the Torklift receiver

In order to use a TorkLift SuperTruss Hitch Extension like part # TLE1532 on a 2014 Ram 3500 you will need the TorkLift SuperHitch Original Trailer Hitch Receiver part # TLD1108 which installs beneath the factory trailer hitch. In regards to welding your own receiver tube opening below the factory trailer hitch, this is certainly not something I can recommend. It is important to note that there is extra support pieces with the above hitch as well so it's a bit more than just an extra receiver tube opening.
