According to the install instructions for the Tekonsha 7-way part # TK22113 that fits your 2017 Dodge Durango the blue wire gets routed through the grommet in the floor on the driver side into the rear cargo area and then routed behind side cargo trim panels and above head liner where you'll locate a white wire with a yellow stripe which it connects to.

I also attached a couple pictures that show where you'll find the connection point as well.

So I had a u haul installer install the Tekonsha tk22113 oem wiring harnesses with the primus iq brake controller and when I plug my 7 way round trailer plug into the vehicle which is a 2017 Dodge Durango gt the lights signals and hazards all work with no issues but when I manually push brake controller it reads n.c . So I drove around a little bit and noticed twice that the gas cap door was open so for the fun of while driving I pushed the gas cap door button and the brakes locked up. Any chance I could get some help? I’m asssuming they tapped into the wrong wires

This is quite strange. It definitely seems like some mis-wiring somewhere - but it's odd that the issues are with the brake controller, as the Tekonsha Kit # TK22113 comes with a Plug-In Harness for this, essentially making the brake controller part a plug-and-play process. There really shouldn't be any splicing or guesswork involved with that particular portion. Do you know if they used the plug-in adapter? It's hard to say exactly what could be causing this without having more info on the installer's process. My honest recommendation is to take the Durango back up to U Haul to have them fix whatever it is they broke...
