Recommended E-Bike Rack to Carry 70-lbs E-Bike with Fat Tires and Aggressive Frame Shape

Question:

I have 2 ebikes. One weights 70lbs and the other 56lbs. Several 4 bike racks have a capacity of 130lbs or more. Can I carry my 2 ebikes on a 4 bike rack? I suppose I would one bike on each riser. I cant quite understand why a 2 bike rack has less capacity than a 4 bike rack. They look pretty much the same. I particularly like the Lets Go Aero BikeWing T4 because of the mounting with the wheels instead of frame since the ebikes have unusual shapes on the frame. Also one is a fat tire and the second a normal hybrid bike. Second question. Would this rack work OK with the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount with 2 Receiver for Bike Racks and pulling my pop up camper?

II recommend that you use the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE # HLY84FR which is designed for heavy E-bikes and has an 80-lbs per bike carrying capacity and can accommodate up to 5" wide tires.

This is the only rack we have available that has more than 60-lbs per bike capacity, so it will be the only option available for you 70-lbs bike. Because this is a frame mounted bike rack, as you've noted, there may be some issues carrying your bikes if they have odd shaped frames. Because of this you may need to use frame adapters like the Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar for Women's, Children's, and Alternative Frame Bikes # 64005 to provide you with a better mounting point for this rack if you can't get the adjustable arms to secure the bike by the frame.

The Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE can be used with the Curt Multipurpose Ball Mount with 2 Receiver for Bike Racks # D210 you mentioned and still allow you to tow your pop-up camper.
