How Does the Roadmaster 6-Diode Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles Stop the Back-flow of Electricity

Question:

How does this system work when the towing vehicle sends a braking signal and the towed vehicles brake pedal is pressed , sending a separate signal to the lights. Is the voltage doubled at the brake light? Will this cause issues at the bulb? I have an rvi braking system which depresses the towed vehicle brake pedal during braking.

The Roadmaster 6-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles with Separate Lighting part # 154-792-118158 which is an excellent option for a flat-towed vehicle will not cause any issues. In regards to compatibility with a supplemental braking system, this won't be an issue at all. The towed vehicle won't send voltage up to tow vehicle because the above kit has diodes which stop the back-flow of electricity therefore it can only flow one way which is from the tow vehicle to the towed vehicle.
