Plugging in Multiple 4-ways to One 7-way
Question:
I have a tow dolly with side clearance lights and fender lights which has brake, blinkers, and tail lights. which uses 4 flat plug . And being towed is a 01 Ford Fiesta SE wired with the Roadmaster Diode wire kit , code# RM154. And use hopkins 7pole to 5 and 4 code # 37385 . Plug car and dolly into adapter and then into the motorhome. Can you tell me if this would work, or should their be something else I would need to do to make the lights in the car and dolly get its power from the motorhome.

Sounds like a great solution! When using the Adapter 7-Pole to 4-Pole and 5-Pole part # 37385 both the 4 and 5 pole are active so plugging in both your dolly's 4-way and you Fiesta's 4-way will work. The only concern I would really have would be with over loading your towing vehicles trailer towing circuits. It seems like you wouldn't have issues but there is always the concern. If this happens you would blow a fuse on your towing vehicle and have to replace it. If it does happen I would then choose which of the two you wanted operating. heck with your local Dept. of Transportation as to which would be the legal way. I would think the car rather than dolly since it is the rear most but you never know.
