You can use the Tuson DirecLink Lite # 335DL-50 on your 2018 Audi Q7, but it does require additional parts to be obtained from your local Audi dealer that would allow you to install a brake controller in your vehicle. I've linked our technical bulletin that addresses installation of trailer brakes on several different German vehicles like your Audi, but additional wiring, from an authorized dealer is necessary to correctly wire the brake control harness: (qty. 1) #1J0-972-782 housing and (qty. 2) #000-979-228 wire/terminal assemblies.

For that reason, I recommend using the Autowbrake # 3430001 since it installs on your trailer and doesn't require any additional parts from the dealer to install it. This is one of my favorite brake controllers when it comes to foreign, luxury cars because you don't have to worry about it backfeeding into the electrical systems and potentially damaging anything. Additionally, because it's installed on your trailer and not in your vehicle, you can tow with any vehicle that has a 7 way connector and have it activate your trailer brakes in a manner proportional to the braking in the tow vehicle.
