Tongue Weight Rating Of Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Shank part # EQ90-02-4600 Explanation
Question:
Can you clarify the 600# - 1400# Tongue 6,000# - 14,000# Tow rating? Does this mean if I use the product in a inch configuration and my WD coupler is bolted at the lowest bolt hole settings on this shank, is this the 600# 6000# rated position? Likewise in the position, with the WD coupler bolted at the top bolt hole, is this the 1400# / 14000# rating position? If I purchase this product I need to set it up to handle a 7700# trailer.

The 600 to 1,400 lbs tongue weight rating of the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Shank part # EQ90-02-4600 is based off of what system this shank will work with. If your Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution system is rated for 600 to 1,400 lbs the bolt holes of the shank are compatible with the head.
For example the system part # EQ37120ET is rated for 800 lbs - 1,200 lbs so EQ90-02-4600 is compatible. The position of the rise/drop of the shank does not affect the tongue weight rating of the shank. It is simply labeled this way because it designed to work with the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution system that are rated for that amount of weight. However, you may be able to use it with your weight distribution system depending on what you have. If you let me know which weight distribution system you have I can confirm.
