Could Fastway Adjustable Ball Mount from 2.5 inch Hitch Fit 2 inch Hitch
Question:
I purchased one of the DT 2.5inch coupler hitches last year but have since sold that big diesel truck. Is it possible to remove the 2.5inch receiver coupler to fit this hitch into my new 2inch receiver?

While it does look like there's a sleeve that could be removed from the # DTALBM6625 to allow it to fit a 2 inch hitch there's more to it than that as the locking pin mechanism is wider as well so it couldn't fit into a 2 inch hitch. So even if you somehow got the sleeve off of the shank the pins couldn't retract far enough to allow it to fit into a 2 inch hitch.
So you'd have to go to the 2 inch version of this with part # DTALBM6600.
