Do Firestone Compressor Kit Air Tanks Need to be Drained
Question:
I dont see a drain valve on the tank. On other manufacturersfoot similar products, they do have a drain valve for their tanks. Is one not needed for this system, or is it just expected that the tank will acquire water, rust, and need to be replaced, eventually?

The air tanks of the Firestone compressor kits we offer like the part # F2549 do not have drain ports but they are not known for developing condensation that leads to rust and replacement. I know that air compressor draining is a normal part of maintenance for them so I am aware how odd it sounds that these don't have drains. But we've yet to hear about it being a problem for any of the tanks we sell.
