The MagnaFlow 4" Exhaust Tip # MF35212 you referenced won't have a big effect on sound, it's more of a cosmetic feature to give the finishing look to an exhaust system.

I have put several exhaust systems on just about everything I've ever driven and there isn't too many options aside from replacing the existing exhaust to make it louder.
