How to Tow 5th Wheel Trailer with Gooseneck Trailer Hitch on 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500
Question:
I have a goose neck hitch in my Chevrolet 2500 HD now. How can I install a 5th wheel in my Chevrolet 2500HD since I have a goose neck hitch already in my truck now

Expert Reply:
Since you already have a gooseneck hitch like the B&W # BWGNRK1067 in your 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500, you will need a gooseneck to 5th wheel adapter in order to tow a 5th wheel trailer.
Specifically you will need the Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # DM8550045.
This essentially converts your gooseneck hitch into base rails and the adapter becomes a 5th wheel hitch, connecting directly to the gooseneck ball on your Silverado.
