Will the Rola NV2 Bike Rack Hold a Bike with Fenders

Question:

What about bikes with fenders? Can the Rola NV2 accommodate such? Would the straps slide under the fenders easily? Thanks

The Rola NV2 Bike Rack uses rubber straps to secure the bike tires on the cradles. As long as there is room between the fender of your bike and the tire to feed through the rubber strap, then you will have no problem using a bike with fenders on this bike rack.

I do not recommend securing the rubber straps over the fenders as the tension could damage the fenders. If you have fenders that sit close to the tires or fenders that cover the sides of the tire as well as the top, then you may be interested in a platform-style bike rack like the Swagman XTC-2, # S64670. This bike rack uses wheel trays and a bike frame hook. I have attached a video of this bike rack as well.
