Does The Thule DoubleTrack Pro XT Bike Platform Rack Work With Step Through Frame Bikes

Question:

does this hitch swing down so I can lift my rear hatch? Does that center bar with the 2 clamps swing to both sides of the center? If so can it be used off center or does it have to be in that locked center position? I will be carrying step thru bikes.

The bike rack Thule DoubleTrack Pro XT Bike Platform Rack part # TH92BJ does not tilt away from the vehicle but the center mast does fold down for rear cargo access. It does fold over the right if you are facing the bike rack but not both sides. It does need to stay locked in the center when the bikes are loaded. It will work well to hold the step through frame bikes because the clamps rotate and slide up and down so they can attach to the down tube easily. I have attached a photo of what this looks like. The DoubleTrack is versatile so it will work well with your bike frames.
