Question:

I have a Carry On brand 4x6foot wire mesh trailer that i purchased from Lowes in the summer ... can you give me an idea of the size Bearing Buddy i would need. I saw a lot of discussion about the Harbor Freight but was not able to fine anything about the Carry On trailers Lowes carries.

In order to determine which Bearing Buddy you will need from your trailer you'll either need to measure the inner diameter of the hub bore on your trailer, or you'll need to know the bearing numbers in your existing hubs. Once you know the bearing number you can search our site with that reference to see all compatible Bearing Buddy protectors available for your trailer.

If you're going to be measuring the hub bore, it is recommended to use digital calipers to get a precise measurement. The measurement needs to be of the inner diameter of the hub bore. Once you have that measurement then you can choose the Bearing Buddy that is the next size larger.

I've attached some pictures that you might want to refer back to when taking the measurements. If it ends up your hub bore that is slightly smaller than 1.98" ID you can use the Bearing Buddy # BB1980A-SS. I've also linked our entire selection of Bearing Buddy bearing protectors for you to easily find and search once you have determined what size you need.
