SeaSucker Talon Roof Rack-Fork Mount-Vacuum Cup Mounted on Mazda MX5 RF

Question:

Will this rack work on a 2019 Mazda MX5 RF? With the fork mount unit mounted entirely on the front section of the folding top and the rear wheel section would be mounted on the trunk lid, will the bike pedals or chain ring clear the rearmost section of the folding top? Alternatively, on the fork mount unit is the distance between the rear two suction cups and the single front suction cup sufficient to span the narrow 5 inch wide middle section of the folding roof? The rear section of the folding roof is 7 inches wide and can accommodate the 6 inch diameter suction cups. Thank you.

The SeaSucker Talon Roof Bike Rack # 298-BT1004 that you referenced would easily fit on the roof and rear trunk lid of your 2019 Mazda MX-5 Miata. I looked up pictures of the roof and rear window/trunk lid and I don't foresee any issues with front sprocket clearance but that is also dependent on the bike you have. Either way though I am sure you could position the rack so that it fits well. You would probably need to stagger the front cups of the front mount attached to the roof and then the rear cup to the section behind that.
