How to Use Circuit Tester of ETBC7 Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller

Question:

How do you use the tester probe to find which wire you hook up to the brake controller? The light on the probe does not come on. I tried it on the battery but does not work.

The circuit tester of the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7 doesn't have exact instructions so I can understand not knowing how to use it if you hadn't had previous experience. But all you have to do is attach the clamp end to a good ground, like a chassis ground, to complete the circuit. You will then be able to use the probe on a wire.
