I have a 02 GMC seirra 2500hd with a turnover ball hitch, was wondering if the center section will fit a rail kit for my 17 GMC seirra 3500. Or will I have to get a complete hitch

For your 2017 GMC Sierra 3500 non prep package model you will need the B&W Turnoverball Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch w/ Custom Installation Kit - 30,000 lbs part # BWGNRK1016 as a complete kit. The Gooseneck center section are different ones on the 2002 model they used the 962 center section and on the 2017 they used the 912 center section.
If you need in bed wiring, use the 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Wiring Harness # A10-7007.
This will eliminate the need for you to drape the trailer connector over the tailgate to plug it in. It gives you an additional &-pole connector right in the bed of the truck.
