Will Curt Adjustable Ball Mount for 2" Trailer Hitches part # D900 Work With Ford Edge
Question:
Will this be good for just using the 1 7/8 ball and 2 ball on a 2016 ford edge 6 cylinder. I am concerned about hitch ball too close to the car, that is one of the reasons I am looking at this. Another question, is there a lot if play and noise making from this hitch. What locking pins are recommended. Thanks

The Curt Multi-Ball Adjustable Ball Mount for 2" Trailer Hitches part # D900 seems like it would have too much drop for a 2016 Ford Edge. It may scrape the ground when you hit bumps because of it's drop 5-3/4" from top of inside of hitch opening. Since the Edge sits so close to the ground, it is a good idea to check to see how much rise/drop you need a ball mount. Even if you have the balls in the top adjustment holes the shank will still hang down.
I recommend to measure from the top of your hitch receiver to the ground. Then measure from the bottom of the coupler to the ground. The difference between those two figures is the amount of rise/drop you need. I recommend to use a 2 different fixed ball mounts with the amount of rise/drop you need for each trailer you plan on towing because it sounds like you are trying to tow two different trailers. If you let me know what you are trying to do I can help further.
