Aries lists the weight capacity of the # AAS222008-2 Oval Nerf Bars and bracketry at 300 lbs, but keep in mind that on newer vehicles it's become industry standard for the step bars to attach to the underside/rear of the rocker panels instead of cab or body mounts like they used to. This means that the steps and brackets themselves might be rated for a certain weight but the rocker panels are only so strong. My contact at Aries tells me that they regularly tell folks that you should REALLY try to avoid putting any more than 250 lbs on the bars, because as you approach or exceed 300 lbs, there's a danger that the rocker panels (not the steps or their mounting hardware/brackets) could be damaged.
