Will the Rear View Safety G-Series Backup Camera Switch Inputs When In Reverse
Question:
OK, after much reading I think the RVS-776718-CT has the features I need. But, none on the descriptions go into detail when you have a second camera installed. So, I’m trying to set up a system for a pickup that has a backup camera that comes on when in reverse and can also see the trailer hitch. I also need a camera mounted on the headache rack that shows the bed of the truck when hooking up a gooseneck trailer. This unit seems to support this need. My question is, if the primary camera AV2 is the rear hitch camera, if I press the power button to activate the gooseneck camera AV1 then shift into reverse, does the monitor switch back to AV2?

Yes, the Rear View Safety G-Series Backup Camera System part # RVS-776718-CT will switch back to the camera on the AV2 input if the vehicle is placed in reverse even if currently viewing the camera on the AV1 input. That said, the system can sill function the way you want you would just need to not attach the blue trigger wire and switch back and forth between the cameras manually with the remote.
I have attached a list of options to add a second camera to the Rear View Safety G-Series Backup Camera System for you as well.
