Will the Go Power 130 Watt Portable Solar System Work To Keep Multiple Batteries Topped Off

Question:

I am only trying to keep the house batteries in my RV topped off while the coach is in storage. I have 8 100 amp hour batteries, and would like to know if the 130 white panel would keep them topped off. Also can the panel be mounted flat or does it have to be on the support brackets? The coach is stored outside, in Florida.

The Go Power Portable Solar System part # 34282730 should provide plenty of power to keep your house batteries topped off while the trailer is in storage. That said, it all just depends on what you have still drawing power from the batteries. Chances are, you will have some sensors still drawing power from the battery bank even while not in use. If you wanted, you could test the load on each battery to see how much power is being pulled on each, add those up and make sure the above kit rated at 6.74 amps exceeds this total. If so then you will be good to go or you could just unhook the battery cables and you won't have to do any testing or worry about the kit not being enough.

In regards to the brackets, you don't need to use these and you can lay the panel flat, whichever option gets you the most sun exposure is what I recommend.
