Can Sport Rider SE Carry 2 Electric Bikes that Weigh 72 Pounds Each

Question:

Hi, I have a hitch installed in my 2008 Toyota Highlander with a 5000 lbs tow load. I plan on purchasing Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE Item # HLY74FR Somebody from a message group told me that this rack is not strong enough to carry 2- 72lbs load and suggested to buy a motorack or a motor cycle carrier. Any suggestion would be greatly be appreciated.

I'm guessing the person in the message group is confusing the # HLY74FR Sport Rider SE with one of its other versions because this is one of the very select few racks that can handle the weight of your 72 pound bikes. The SE is tested and rated for bikes up to 80 pounds each. Most racks don't allow anything over 60.

This is a tried-and-true rack that has the capacity you need, tilts away from your Highlander to access the cargo area, folds up to the Highlander when you're not using it, and includes locks for both the rack and the bikes.
