How To Upgrade From 6 on 5-1/2 Inch Hubs to 8 on 6-1/2 Inch Hubs On a 5,200 Lb or 6,000 Lb Axle  

Question:

If the axle uses 6 lug hubs with 25580 and 15123 bearing could it be replacesd with a 8 lug hub that uses 25580 and 14125A bearings? the 15123 and 14124A both have the same ID.

If you have a 5,200 lb or 6,000 lb axle with 6 on 5-1/2" hub/drum assembly that uses 25580 inner and 15123 outer bearings then you can upgrade to an 8 on 6-1/2" hub/drum assembly that uses 25580 inner and 14125A outer bearings because both the 15123 and 14125A outer bearings have the same inner diameter of 1.250". For this, we have the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly part # 8-219-4UC3-EZ which will work well on a 5,200 lb or 6,000 lb axle
