Base Rails for Reese Bracket Kit on 2016 Ram 2500 Short Bed

Question:

5th Wheel Bed Rail. Can you tell me the parts number needed for a 2016 Ram 2500 short bed? I would also like to know if the Pullrite 2700 Superglide hitch would be compatible with the recommended bed rails. Brackets are already installed beneath the bed and I have attached photos for your reference. They appear to be brackets made by Reese but I’d like to confirm. The photos are the left and right rear, and the passenger side front. I did not take a photo of the driver side front bracket but it is identical to the opposing side.

I agree with you that, based on the photo, your brackets do look the most similar to the Reese Quick-Install Custom Bracket Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP50054 that fits your 2016 Ram 2500 short bed. If you take a look at the photo I added of this kit on an install we did on a '16 Ram 2500 and compare it to yours you can see the similarity.

I can't guarantee this is what you have, of course, but it is the most likely. For these brackets you do need a specific set of base rails, the Reese Universal Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP58058.

As for the compatibility with Pullrite, we do not carry that brand so we're not overly familiar with it, but our understanding is the hitch is the ISR series then it is compatible with standard above-bed rails like the Reese. A similar hitch I can absolutely guarantee is compatible is the outstanding Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Slider # DM8550034.
