What Primer and Touch-Up Paint Should be Used With Aries AdvantEdge Headache Rack
Question:
Can you guys recommend a specific primer and paint for touch up on the black carbide powder coat? Specifically, something that will work with the chemistry of your powder coat. I know blending into the original powder coat can be a touchy process if the correct products aren’t used. Thanks!

I reached out to the manufacturer, Aries Automotive, who told me the Aries AdvantEdge Headache Rack # AA1110104 you purchased from us for your 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 does not have a specific primer or paint to be used with the powder coat.
What they told me though was that you needed to use a very good etching primer due to the powder coat, and a high-quality chip-resistant paint for touch-up, but that there wasn't any specific one.
