The race series mufflers are universal fit applications, so you will want to make sure the inlet and outlet size on the muffler is compatible with your exhaust system.

If you still have the stock 2-1/2 inch exhaust pipes on your 1977 Chevrolet Corvette, then I would recommend the MagnaFlow Straight-Through Universal Muffler - Race Series, # MF14158. The muffler, # MF14161, that you referenced on our website fits 3-1/2 inch pipes and we also carry the muffler # MF14159 for 3 inch pipes.

The straight-through style mufflers allow for unrestricted exhaust flow to not only deliver a louder sound, but also improve engine performance.
