Weight Distribution Recommendation for Flagstaff Micro Lite 21FBRS

Question:

We are planning on purchasing a Flagstaff Micro Lite 21FBRS exact same model as the Rockwood 2019s and are wondering which is the appropriate Blue Ox Sway Pro system to purchase? Forest River specs out the trailer at 412 lbs TW dry, with a 5,692 lbs max GVWR. Well be pulling it with a 2017 Ram 1500 pickup, 5.7 and 3.21 gears. I know whatever we add into the front of the trailer and behind the axle of the truck impacts the overall TW, but is there any way of calculating a good estimate of the TW so we can purchase the right system before we go pick up our new trailer? Thanks!

Based on the weights you listed for the Flagstaff Micro Lite 21FBRS the Blue Ox kit part # BXW0750 would seem to be the best option as it has a tongue weight range of 550 to 750 lbs. These kits don't have the widest tongue weight ranges and honestly they aren't the best performing but they do have the higher price tag so I would recommend you go with the Strait Line # RP66083 which has a wider range of 400 to 800 lbs and features the best sway control out there that fights sway before it starts. This would be your best option.

I have a Flagstaff 21FBRS Micro-Lite. Just wanted to give my feedback to this question. I have an Equalizer hitch with 1000 lb bars. This setup works well for me. My 21FBRS has most of it's outside storage in the front pass through storage area so has a high tongue weight when loaded for a small trailer.
