I spoke with my contact at Blue Ox and he said the Rangefinder II BX4322 tow bar will not work with Blue Ox removable arm base plates like the # BX3323 for your 2004 Saturn L300 Series. The slot in the removable arm is not deep enough to connect to the Rangefinder II tow bar.

You can use the Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit, part # 523114-1, on your Saturn along with the Blue Ox Rangefinder II to Roadmaster Bracket Adapter, part # RM-037, you have referenced. This setup will allow you to use your Blue Ox Rangefinder II tow bar to tow your Saturn behind your RV.

The other option is to use a different Blue Ox tow bar like the Blue Ox Adventurer Tow Bar, part # BX7322, to fit the Blue Ox # BX3323 base plates.

To complete the towing set up for your Saturn L300, you will also need safety cables, wiring, and a supplemental braking system as required by law.

For safety cables, I recommend Blue Ox Safety cables, part # BX88196. For wiring, there are a couple of options. If you do not plan on towing the Saturn very often, I would go with a magnetic light kit like # RM-2120. If you do plan on towing the Saturn frequently, it would be beneficial to install the Roadmaster Diode Wiring Kit, part # RM-154. I am including a link to a FAQ page on how to choose tow bar wiring.

For a braking system, The easiest to use and install is the Roadmaster Even Brake Portable Proportional Braking System, # RM-9400. This unit installs quickly so you are ready to go in minutes. It engages the towed vehicle brakes proportionally to how much the towing vehicle is braking, reducing wear of both the towing vehicle and towed vehicle brakes. You will also need the Roadmaster 12 Volt Outlet Kit, part # RM-9332, to power the braking system. I am including a link to a FAQ page on supplemental braking systems.

Finally, you will need to check with the manufacturer and/or your vehicle owners manual for instructions on the proper procedure for towing your vehicle because some vehicles must be equipped with a transmission lube pump, an axle disconnect, drive line disconnect, or free-wheeling hubs before they can be towed.
