You should not have any issues using the Swagman Original 3 Bike Rack, # S64152-2, on your 2002 Toyota RAV4, however, I would recommend taking a few measurements just to be sure your rear mounted spare tire will not interfere with the bike rack before purchasing a bike rack.

This bike rack measures 14 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the upright bar. On your vehicle, you will want to measure from the center of the hitch pin hole on your trailer hitch to the furthest rearward point of your spare tire. If this measurement is less than 14 inches, then you should have no issue.

We have had a chance to test fit other bike racks with a smaller clearance on a newer RAV4 without any issue.

If you plan on carrying any bikes with alternative frames or extreme angles, then you may also want to pick up the Swagman Easy-Out Adapter Bar, # 64005. Some bike frames with angled or alternative frames can be difficult to load or secure on a bike rack and this adapter bar will provide a level crossbar to safely mount the bikes. I have attached a demonstration video of this adapter bar for you as well.
