Will a Bluetooth System in a 2011 Chevy Silverado Cause Interference on a Wireless Backup Camera

I have a 2011 chev pickup equiped with bluetooth.Will this system work on my truck? Does shutting off the cell phone make any difference?

Any wireless device that operates on 2.4 GHz (like a Bluetooth system in your 2011 Chevy Silverado) can interfere with the reception quality of a wireless backup camera. Turning off the phone may not shut off the Bluetooth device in the vehicle.

The only way to avoid interference is by using a system that is completely hardwired and not wireless. The Hopkins Rear View Camera with Backup Sensors, # HM60195VA, is a hardwire system. I have included a link to a video showing a typical installation for you.
