Will the Thule Bed-Rider Truck Bed Bike Rack Fit a 2008 GMC Sierra with Plastic Bed Rail Caps

Question:

Ive read a couple of your articles about which type of truck beds this rack will fit, but havent seen anything on the 2008 GMC sierra 1500. This truck has the plastic bed rail caps on top of the steel bed rail. Will the 822XT fit on this ok.

I went through the Thule fit guide for a 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 and found that you can use the Thule Bed-Rider, # TH822XTR, in your truck bed. The plastic caps on the bed rails will not prevent you from using this product. The way that it works is that it pushes against the sides of the bed and this pressure holds it in place as shown in the video and instructions I have linked for you.
