Thanks for the question. The 2,000-Watt Portable RV Inverter Generator - 1,600 Running Watts - Gas - Manual Start part # 333-0001 that you looked at requires just a standard RV type 30-amp plug. It doesn't require any modification to be made to that plug for it to work. When doing the video on this generator we simply plugged it into the RV's plug and all appliances worked great. They do recommend however running a wire from the ground terminal on the front of the generator itself to earth through a grounding rod so it is grounded reducing the risk of any issues. I've included the video I did on it so you will get a good idea on how it worked with the different appliances.

What is the amp on the 120v outlet at the 1600W running output.

At the 120V outlet on the etrailer Inverter Generator # 333-0001 you'll get approximately 17 amps starting and a 13 amp running output.

Recommending a grounding rod or having to use one? I've never seen a video of a user yet, mentioning using one. Is it really necessary? Do RV'ers carry around a lot of copper rods to put in and leave at each camp site? Thanks, just want to be safe!
