Will the etrailer.com Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock Work With a Cargo Carrier on a 2012 Honda CR-V
Question:
I have a 2012 Honda Cr-v with a Class 1 trailer hitch size 1 1/4. I purchased a 20x48 cargo carrier product # 52017 from your excellent company a couple of weeks ago. It fits perfect on my hitch. I use the hitch pin and clip that came with my vehicle to attach it the hitch. My question is would DeadBolt Locks,Hitch Accessories - part # e98879 work instead of my existing hitch pin and clip to attach it to the hitch. Thanks A very satisfied customer

Expert Reply:
Yes, the 1-1/4 inch etrailer.com Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock, # e98879, is an excellent choice to secure your Surco cargo carrier to your trailer hitch on your 2012 Honda CR-V. This lock will feed through the hitch pin hole on your trailer hitch just like your pin and clip and the locking end will ensure your cargo carrier cannot be removed while you are away.
