How To Reduce Rear Sag With Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System and 2012 Ford F-150
Question:
I have a 2012 f150. I recently got a bumper pull camper and it’s tongue weight is at 860 pounds. My truck squats more than I like. I have an equalizer wdh hitch which has been adjusted to level my camper and helps the swaying for the most part except for when semis pass I have put air suspension int the rear shock absorbers and it takes the bounce out of the ride. Tho I think if I could get the sag out it would help with some of the swaying from semis and gas mileage. I’m not sure what the next step would be

I was able to find some information on the Grey Wolf camper but since I do not know your floor plan I cannot say for sure, but the first thing you may want to do is to make sure your tongue weight is not too heavy. Most of the hitch weights I was able to find on the Grey Wolf campers were below 800 lbs. It might be possible to redistribute some of the cargo on the trailer further rearward so that the tongue weight is below the manufacturers listed tongue weight.
Another thing to take into consideration is that the Equalizer hitch like part # EQ37100ET is not under adjusted. You may need to add washers or raise the L-brackets. I recommend to take a look at the weight distribution adjustment section of the installation instructions of the Equalizer hitch to make sure you have done all of the adjustments possible. Normally weight distribution takes care of the sagging issues.
The next step would be a suspension enhancement system that would help to eliminate the rear sag. When you say you have put air suspension in the air shock absorbers I believe you are referring to the truck. If not please let me know and I can recommend a system for you. If you already have a system which air suspension system are you using?
