Trunk Bike Rack for Audi S4

According to Thule, all of their trunk mounted bike rack racks will fit an Audi S4.

A rack like the Thule OutWay # TH45JV for two bikes or # TH56BV for three bikes would be least likely to scratch a vehicle. Instead of the 6 straps that other racks use, the Raceway uses 2 rubber coated straps. Having fewer points of contact between the vehicle and the rack will lessen the possibility of anything getting scratched.

Some of the Yakima trunk mounted racks will fit the S4, the fit depends on the model year and whether you have the sedan or wagon model.

Keeping all of the contact points between the rack and vehicle perfectly clean and free of grit will go a long way toward preventing scratches, however the only way to guarantee that nothing will ever get scratched would be to use a receiver hitch mounted bike rack. Using a hitch mounted rack would prevent the rack from coming into contact with the vehicle paint.

For women's bikes or bikes with sharply angled top tubes or step-through frames, using a frame adapter like part # TH982XT is recommended. The adapter spans the distance between the seat post and the handle bar gooseneck, and provides a level attachment point to the bike rack so the bike has greater ground clearance and is not carried at an angle.
