Weight Distribution Recommendation for Attitude 32GSG with 1,700 lb Tongue Weight

Question:

Hi I’m going to be purchasing a new trailer and wanted an opinion on what system you think would be best for my trailer. The trailer I’m purchasing is a Attitude 32GSG GVWR 14,000 lbs. H.W. 1700 lbs. I’ve been looking at the Reese Strait-Line 1700 lb. kit with 2.5” hitch options.. Not sure if there is any other options for me from other manufacturers? Thanks

For a hitch weight of 1,700 lbs you'd need a higher rated system than a Straitline with a 1,700 lb max tongue weight. You'd need a system like the Blue Ox part # BXW2003 which has a tongue weight range of 1,500 to 2,000 lbs since you need the tongue weight of your trailer to fall within the range of the system.

For a hitch ball you'd then want the part # 63840.
