Replacing 14 Wheels/Tires with 8 Ply 15 Wheels/Tires

Question:

I would like to replace the 14 inch wheels/tires on the camper with 15 inch wheels and 8 ply radial tires, Do you have 15 inch wheels with a 5 lug 4.5 inch hole pattern with a 3 1/8 inch center hole and 4 15 inch 8 ply radial trailer tires that will fit these rims? Thanks again,

You definitely can upgrade your 14" wheels/tires to 15" wheels with 8 ply tires, you just need to make sure that you have enough clearance to do so. I will be attaching some photos for the suggested clearances and I'll let you know the exact size of the new tire.

I recommend going with the Westlake ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 15" Silver Mod Wheel # LHAW121 The wheel has the 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern and a pilot hole of 3.19" while the tire is a Load Range D which makes it an 8 ply and rated for 2,150 lbs at 65 psi. The tire itself is top of the line with a max speed of 75 mph, it comes with a limited warranty with free tire replacement, and both the tire and wheel are made right here in the USA.

For something that is a little more cost-effective we have the Kenda Karrier ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire with 15" Black Mod Wheel # AM32424. The wheel has the same 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern with a 3.19" pilot hole, and the tire is a Load Range D (8 ply and rated for 2,150 lbs at 65 psi).

A 205/75R15 tire is going to have a section width of about 8" and a total outer diameter of about 27-1/4" so you'll want to make sure that this fits with your trailer fenders, trailer frame, and the trailer tires themselves for a tandem axle situation.

Attached are review videos for both tire/wheel options I mentioned above.
