Why Cant Kuat Transfer Bike Rack be Used at Back of Travel Trailer

Question:

Hi, Im wondering why the Kuat transfer cant be mounted on a travel trailer. What is the difference between the hitch on a vehicle compared to the hitch on a travel trailer? It seems like the same set up to me Ive put other bike racks on my travel trailer with no problems, so what is different about this one? Thanks!

At the rear of a trailer or RV the ride quality is very rough when compared to the ride quality at the rear of a passenger vehicle. Reason being the suspension isn't as sophisticated and there is a longer distance between the rear axle and the rear of the trailer which exaggerates the movement of the trailer when hitting bumps. Because of that only a few bike racks were designed to be reinforced enough for that type of use. The Transfer cannot be used at the back of a travel trailer.

We do have a 2-bike platform bike rack that is pretty similar with the Swagman Dispatch part # S44FR that was reinforced for this type of use that would work really well for you.
