Rear Anti-Sway Bar for a 1996 Dodge Roadtrek

Question:

Hello, I am trying to find a rear sway bar for my 1996 dodge Roadtrek 190. I am seeing that many of the available sway bars may not fit my van due to the undermount water and storage tanks. I see that you all suggest the RAS a lot. Would they work for my van? I dont do a lot of towing but I do need some stability in the rear. Would they also add more stiffness? Im not looking for any more harshness in the rear. I currently have Bilstein HD struts and thats about as rough as I want to go.

The Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar part # RM-1129-111 is a fit for a 1996 Dodge Roadtrek with or without water tanks to the best of my knowledge. That said, these water tanks may have to be removed for installation but only temporarily to get the anti-sway bar in place so this is still an option for you.

If you want to go with the RoadActive Suspension Custom Leaf Spring Enhancement Kit part # RAS4612-DV this would work as well but it will also stiffen the rear suspension as would any suspension enhancement as that is how they provide additional support.

In summary, I recommend the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar as this will do the best job of aiding in stability without compromising ride quality but you will need to set more time aside for installation when compared to the RoadActive Suspension.
